    Samantha Tyler, MOL, SHRM-CP-Vice President of HR-Central Bank will be speaking about having Difficult Conversations.

    Participants will learn practical steps on how to prepare for, initiate, and engage in difficult discussions that involve high stakes outcomes, opposing opinions, or strong emotions. Participants will practice upholding relationships while effectively communicating their needs in the workplace.

    Learning objectives:

    1. Gain confidence to initiate difficult discussions.

    2. Ability to identify the needs of self, others, and the organization.

    3. Ability to consider and value others’ perspectives.

    4. Implement a plan of action.

    Samantha began her career in 2007 and has worked in a variety of industries including transporting, engineering, education, and banking. Currently, she serves as the Vice President/Director of HR for Central Bank in Branson. Samantha also obtained her Masters of Organizational Leadership from Evangel University and is SHRM certified. Additionally, Samantha has served in various roles for the Springfield Area HR Association Board since 2013 including 2 terms as President.  Sam is now serving the BTLHRA as President Elect.
